कतारले बैदेशिक रोजगारीलाई ब्यबस्थित गर्न नेपालमा श्रम सचेतना केन्द्र स्थापना गर्ने भएको छ । रोजगारीका लागि कतार आउने नेपालीलाई कतारको बर्तमान नियम कानुन् भाषा र कतारि संस्कृति बारे पूर्व जानकारी गराउने छ । उक्त कुरा गत हप्ता कतार भ्रमणमा आउदा परराष्ट्र मंत्री उपेन्द्र यादव् र कतारका श्रममन्त्री बिच भेटघाटपछी कतारि नेताले सो जानकारी दिएका हुन । भेटघाटपछि मन्त्री यादवले कतार सरकारले नेपालीलाई पूर्वबत भिसा उपल्ब्ध गराउने प्रतिबधता ब्यक्त गरेको बताउनु भएको थियो । हाल कतारमा ३ लाख ५० हजार नेपाली कामदार छन । विश्व आर्थिक मन्दिको असर् भए पनि नेपाली मज्दुर फिर्ता नपठाउने विषयमा पनि छलफल भएको थियो र थप १ लाख १२ हजार को पूर्व भिसा प्राप्त हुने कुराको समेत जानकारी दीइएको छ । बिष्णु आचार्य , दोहा कतार

Organizers of an international peace conference in Johannesburg, South Africa postponed the event Tuesday after South African government refused Dalai Lama a visa. Announcing the postponement at a news conference Tuesday, Irvin Khosa, chairman of the South African football league, did not offer an explanation for the delay, CNN reported.A presidential spokesman had said earlier that the Dalai Lama - Tibet´s spiritual leader and a Nobel Laureate - did not receive a visa because it was not in South Africa´s interest for him to attend. South Africa thinks that, if the Dalai Lama attended the conference, the focus would shift away from the 2010 World Cup -- the global soccer championship it will host next year."We cannot allow focus to shift to China and Tibet," said presidential spokesman Thabo Masebe quoted by CNN as saying.
