Senior Maoist leader and Minister for Finance Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Sunday said that the results of the Constituent Assembly (CA) by-polls have once again proved that the Maoists are the best force in national politics

Claiming that there is no alternative to his party, Dr. Bhattarai said the Unified CPN (Maoist) will rule the country for a longer period in future.
The Maoists bagged three out of six seats in the Constituent Assembly by-elections held Friday, and maintained their lead over three other parties --CPN-UML, Nepali Congress (NC), and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)—that shared one each.
Inaugurating the 56th Annual General Assembly of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) in the capital today, the finance minister claimed that the country will witness political stability in coming days in the Maoist leadership.
He urged the private sector to move ahead in unity to curb problems faced by the financial sector. He also said the government is ready to move ahead in consensus with other political parties.
Also speaking at the programme, NCC Chairman Surendra Bir Malakar said the government has not taken the issues raised by the private sector seriously.
He further demanded that the property tax policy not be imposed until before the new constitution is drafted.
