To pay tax

A select few in a privileged group have accumulated billions of rupees running private educational institutions. But they are still not abiding by the government´s call to pay tax, something it has been insisting on for the last six months. They have dared to cheat the state through tax evasion on various pretexts. It is the tax evaders who have pushed the country toward bankruptcy. These things should be understood clearly by the students first of all.-Maoist leader and Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai writing in his column in Nayapatrika daily on Thursday.
