Narayanhiti Palace is changed into Museum from today
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the Narayanhiti Palace Museum on Thursday.
The museum will be opened for the general public from Friday.
Narayanhiti Palace Museum, the residence of the former royals, has been turned into the museum after nine months of the declaration of Republic in the country.
According to the management committee, the museum will be opened for five days a week except Tuesday, Wednesday and on public holidays.
Among 52 rooms in the palace, only 19 will be opened, the committee informed.
Only 15 visitors at a time will be allowed to enter the museum for some 25 minutes.
Foodstuffs and weapons are not allowed within the museum premises.
